Welcome to the homepage of the bridal salon TAKASAGOYA.

TAKASAGOYA Bridal Salon was founded in 1954 and is Himeji’s longest-operating costume rental shop.

The shop is located on the large main street that runs from Himeji Station to Himeji Castle.

Many people enjoy looking in the shop’s show-window which is decorated seasonally with new dresses or uchikake kimono.

In Japan, it is traditional to wear a kimono for a wedding ceremony.

At TAKASAGOYA, we stock many kinds of wedding dresses and kimono, so we can meet a wide variety of customer tastes.

These days, it is becoming more and more popular for people from overseas to wear kimono, and to take some commemorative photos, or to even have an authentic Japanese wedding.  We offer our customers costumes that they can enjoy wearing for these events.

We offer not only wedding costumes, but also shichi-go-san costumes for families with children, or furisode for girls groups.
You can use these costumes to create a variety of memorable experiences.

Also, Himeji is famous for its World Heritage Site, Himeji Castle.

In 2015, after five years of renovation, the castle was reopened.

So, why don’t you come to Himeji and have some beautiful photos taken by a professional cameraman, in our gorgeous kimono, with the brand-new beautifully white Himeji Castle in the background?

Additionally, there is a traditional Japanese garden, called “Koukoen”, near the castle.  A visit to the garden is like a time slip into the world of a Japanese historical drama.
Further, there is a traditional Japanese shrine named “Harimakoku-Sousha” where you can have a Japanese wedding ceremony.

If you are thinking about coming to Japan and visiting Himeji Castle, we recommend you let us give you one more memorable experience.

Please make your reservations and inquiries here.
We will reply by e-mail in English.

This kimono makes any bride look beautiful and elegant.
